On a Whole New Level in Spain

Kevin and Karen Prevost, AGWM personnel in Spain associated with the On the Red Box open-air evangelism ministry tell of the great progress and spread of this ministry. One area where they have always seen God moving is in evangelism training. They tell of one example when they hosted an impromptu school of evangelism and 50 people came from a variety of churches! So that is why there is a certification school where young evangelists are trained and mentored in Madrid. But as requests have come in from around the world, a distance school was created to raise up leaders in other cities and countries.

The Prevosts tell that “About a year ago we felt prompted to begin to train teachers and multiply our efforts in equipping evangelism teams. And this fall we launched yet another school to empower our 44 Red Box leaders to train their own teams of soul-winners.”

Recently at the On the Red Box conference in Portugal, Karen met with the five Red Box leaders in Portugal, two future Red Box teams, as well as two Red Box leaders from Spain to offer them support and assistance in raising up their teams.

Kevin says, “God sees what is ahead and is preparing us for the harvest! He is accelerating His work and taking us to a whole new level.”

Mass Distribution in Majorca

In Majorca, Spain, more than 300 believers spread out across the island recently to deliver tracts to homes in approximately 50 towns. It was the first time in the history of the island that a mass distribution had been organized – it really was a ‘God moment’. Not counting the capital city, Palma, it is estimated that 85% of the island was covered. Around 100,000 homes received the tract “Nada Is Imposible Para Dios” (Nothing is Impossible for God.) . Twenty-one small towns remain to be visited. “This is so good! I’m meeting many I’ve never met before,” one participant commented. There was unity, there was joy, enthusiasm. “Oh, we have to do this again!” said another.

People read the literature as they stood in the doorways of their homes, as they walked down the street and many more read the tract when they checked their mail box. A lady from the town of Bunyola called, weeping as she shared the difficult time she was going through. “I received the pamphlet. It spoke to me. I’d love to come to a service.” She was so grateful to have someone to talk to, someone to pray with her.

In most of the towns visited, there are no known born again believers. Alister and Lindy Belbin, AGWM personnel in Majorca state, “Now we must water the seed that has been sown, with our tears – interceding for the thousands of souls in those 50 towns, who need the Savior.”

Antonio's Story in Spain

AGWM personnel in Spain, Bill Jackson, relates the following story. “We first met Antonio on July 16, 2014. We had heard from a couple of friends in Fermoselle, a village near the border of Portugal, that their neighbor had read the Bible a lot and wanted to talk with us. So we met with Antonio in their home. Antonio, an eighty-six-year-old man, had many questions and doubts as a result of his extensive reading of the Bible. He had made a list of our beliefs with which he disagreed. One by one, we went down the list and explained why we believe those things based on the Bible. I gave him a tract to read also. A week later I went back and met with again in their home. At that time he told me that he had read the tract that I had written and that he was one hundred percent in agreement with it. But I never met with Antonio again. I heard that he didn’t want to change churches (which I had not mentioned to him).

On October 22 Antonio showed up for our Bible study and has been attending since then. He loves the singing and worship, loves the Word of God and to hear it preached. He told me that he had decided that he would have nothing to do with us, but for some reason he felt compelled to return.

Last week he said that he wanted to be baptized and join our church because he believes that we are teaching and preaching the true message of the Gospel. I Said, "Antonio it isn't about joining our church. It is about following Jesus." Antonio said, "It is not by chance that I came here. God brought me here!"

A 10 year old's search in Spain

A water baptismal service took place early on a Sunday morning in a little cove on the shores of Majorca, where 16 new believers were baptized. Toni, a 17-year-old, committed his life to Christ a year ago. One day, when he was 10 years old, his mom said, “Toni, you should read the New Testament.” He began reading the Bible and his grandma would tell him to pray, talk to God, and so he did. But at age 16, Toni’s life was in disarray and he understood that he must make a choice between following the world or turning his life completely over to God. Not knowing where to turn, Toni began looking online to listen to ‘preachers’ and realized he needed to become a part of a local church. His first internet search for a church brought him to the web site of Christian Center.

He decided to visit the church. “I’ll never forget that first visit — the singing, the excitement in the service, the love I felt from everyone and the message of God’s word was so real!” They were made to feel welcomed. An usher took down their contact information. Toni continued to come and on the third Sunday he made his decision for Christ. He began attending youth meetings and a weekly home Bible study group. “Everything was so different,” he said. “I was impressed!” As he grew in his new faith, his life was transformed. Bad habits left. His language cleaned up. His relationship with his Dad was healed. He felt a new desire to help people. “They need Christ!” He began telling his friends about his new life in Christ. At High School the other students began to call him "Pastor!"

Toni feels God’s call on his life, and his spiritual growth over this past year has been nothing short of amazing! Toni’s mom and dad are also now serving the Lord.
