The Bridge - France

The Bridge International Church in Paris, France held an event which they call “Open Doors” in early Fall. In preparation for that, a team gave invitations to people returning to Paris from summer holidays or arriving in the city for the first time. This was done at various metro subway stations in Paris, distributing invitations to people who were on their way to work. They also gave out balloons and invitations on a Saturday at a park.

“Open Doors” was a great success as many first-time visitors attended the service.  They wee introduced to the people and ministry of the The Bridge International Church.  Coffee time is always a hit after the Sunday service.  It gives a great opportunity for fellowship, to meet newcomers, and to get better acquainted with each other.

There was also a Fall preaching series entitled “Surviving the Seven Deadly Sins”.  This gave the congregation a lot of personal and practical challenges.  Peope are being reached and are hearing the good news of the Gospel through the ministry of The Bridge International Church.

Mail_Attachment-3.jpegIn 1999, Isabelle de Joode- Berthon had the opportunity to spend three months on an evangelism tour with the Celebrant Singers, an itinerant musical group based in the USA. The group came to France for three weeks during the tour. It was then that God birthed the desire within her to evangelize her country with a French traveling musical group. This seemed impossible in France and she felt inadequate to make it succeed alone!  But God had put a message of hope in her heart that if she would just set in motion such a project, he would support her!

Some years prior to this, Didier Moya had at heart the same kind of venture. He asked God to call a person to lead the way and he would help. God answered both Isabelle’s and Didier’s prayers. In the spring of 2000, he allowed them to contact each other and to share their vision together.

Mail_Attachment.jpegIn 2001, God used Isabelle and Didier to gather together about 20 young singers and musicians to form “Solidéo”. Their first tour was launched in July 2002.

Solideo celebrated ten years of ministry the weekend of November 2-4, 2012 in Valence, France.  AGWM personnel, Suzanne Spolarich was privileged to accompany them as a spiritual coach and chaplain during their training session previous to this celebration.  The group has grown to 75 musicians and singers. During that weekend. more than 2000 people heard the Good News through their ministry.
